WHO TOLD YOU GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

I started dating Adanma, while I was in 300 level at our university. I fell in love with her at first sight. I know you must be familiar with the ‘love-at-first-sight syndrome’.

The first day I, Daniel set my eyes on her, the air around her seemed magnetic, something just kept pushing me to her.

She was as pretty as a goddess and I wondered why I haven’t seen her around campus for the past three years of my stay over there.

Well, I wasn’t the shy type so, I sprang to action to make a move towards her. She’s got to be mine somehow I thought. She stood among two of her friends chatting excitedly and I walked up to them and found my way into their conversation just to get her attention.

I was just one lucky young man with words, I knew how to get ladies attention easily. So, like magic the trio of them enjoyed my company especially with the fact that I threw a little bit of jokes here and there to spice up the conversation. I managed to excuse Adanma from her friends and spoke to her.

After that day, I became close to her and within few days, we were in a lovey-dovey zone. It was just amazing how we clicked so well. My course mates began to tease me because all I talked about most of the time was ‘Adanma’.

We were seen almost everywhere on campus. She was in banking and finance department, while I was a chemical engineering student. But we made sure we entered the campus at the same time.

Gradually, I was becoming so used to Adanma. She intoxicated me like a fine red wine. I fell deeper and deeper in love with her each day.

Sometimes, I skipped classes whenever she wasn’t having any lecture for the day to spend time with her at her lodge. I also stopped being regular at bible study at the fellowship I attended close to my lodge. Adanma didn’t attend any, but I felt pretty comfortable with that.

It’s her choice, I thought to myself. My fellow church brethren began to complain about my not-so-serious attitude towards the activities at the fellowship. I wasn’t as vibrant as I used to be. I ignored them.

The pastor paid me a visit after church service one day to have a serious conversation with me. He began as he took a seat in my room, “Brother, I’m getting worried at the way you paid little or no attention to the activities of the Lord in recent times. Is everything okay?” “Yes, everything is fine sir,” I responded.

“Everything cannot be fine. This is not you. And that reminds me, I was informed that you’re in a relationship with some lady now. Who’s she? A member of our fellowship?” “No, she’s not,”I replied. “Okay, she necessarily doesn’t have to be from our fellowship, but are you willing to marry her? Do you have any future plans with her?” he inquired.

“Yes, I would like to marry her if I have the opportunity, ”I replied smiling broadly.

“Hmm, I suggest you get to know everything about her before going to the next step. Ask God for direction so you know what path to take because I’m not so comfortable with this new change in you. Be very careful, brother. Do be careful. I guess I should be on my way now. Remain blessed,” he concluded getting up from his seat.

“Good bye, sir” I said. He patted me on my shoulders and walked away. ‘What’s God’s business with my relationship with Adanma?, I thought as he left.

Weeks passed into months, I became worse than the way I was. I was lazy towards my stand with Christ. Adanma didn’t help matters. She made me go to the club every single Friday and Saturday of every week.

She knew how to smoke effortlessly, but I had never gone close to a cigarette since I knew of its existence. She urged me to take a puff each time she smoked, until I started ordering for cigarettes at the club myself.

Towards the end of the semester, I wrote my continuous assessment tests and I failed woefully. I was surprised at the results. This definitely wasn’t me, I don’t get below the ‘C’ grade in any of my courses.

I tried as much as possible to get back on track, but the harder I tried the more I sank deeper in this ocean of destruction.

Adanma advised me not to get all worked up over my bad results that I will make up with our forth coming exams. I began to feel really bad as things turned out negatively.

I remembered God and how I’ve foolishly strayed away. Something told me within me to rebuild my relationship with God again and go back to who I used to be. I spoke to Adanma about it and persuaded her to follow me to the evening service at my fellowship since she doesn’t attend any.

She bluntly rejected my idea, she said that such activities bore her a lot. She also said that it was a waste of time going to fellowships on campus. I pleaded with her to follow me just that once and if she doesn’t like the outcome, then she can stop attending. She reluctantly followed me that evening.

Coincidentally, it was a deliverance service. We both took our seats in the church, while the pastor explained a bible passage they had just read before we walked in. He used roughly 10 minutes for explanation, then it was time for deliverance. The pastor asked the members to stand up and take off their foot wears, we complied.

Deliverance session began immediately, the pastor prayed against every unseen forces/spirits that wants to hinder our success towards our forthcoming exams and there was serious prayers (binding and casting) among the students.

All of a sudden, Adanma started wriggling her body, she fell down on the chairs close to where she stood. She danced severally worse than the way she danced at the club, but this dance was done in pains. She left the chairs, fell to the ground rolling from side to side and started screaming. The pastor moved closer to her, he clapped his hands severally towards her and her screaming increased. I couldn’t believe that it was my Adanma that was on the floor! I stared at her in awe.

The pastor commanded,“ Now speak and be ye delivered today in Jesus name!” She wriggled a little more before she started, “I will… I will talk… Please, the fire is much.. It’s much oh! I’m.. I’m not just an ordinary human like all of you. I was sent from beneath the waters on a mission here to destroy at least 40 young men. I… I attract them to me and crush their destiny in no time… I saw that Daniel was very vibrant and brilliant at school. He’s future seemed bright, so I had to end it to accomplish my mission. He’s the 34th young man I have encountered on..on my mission! ” she confessed.

There was exclaim of surprise in the church. I felt very dizzy as she confessed. I just couldn’t believe it! My pretty Adanma was out to ruin me. Only if I heeded to the pastor’s advice of getting God involved, I wouldn’t have found myself in that dilemma.

I was grateful to God for the exposure. I promised myself never to leave Him out of my relationship because He’s the key to everything.

Today, without bragging about it. I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world with three beautiful children and I’ve got my destiny intact.

Life Lesson: It’s very vital to note that God is interested in everything about you even to the most minute things.
Therefore, it is necessary to get Him involved in everything you do (every single thing). If God is interested in the type of food you eat, the places you go to, the hair you make, the clothes you wear, the way you purchase things at the mall, what you think about, the plans you make, e.t.c. Then, why won’t He be interested in your relationship or marital issues? God is concerned about your well-being. He’s highly interested in you. So, don’t for one second think that whatever you do doesn’t matter to him.
Before you go into marriage, consider His thoughts about it. Talk to Him to reveal to you things you need to know about the person. Get Him involved in everything that concerns you and you would see how marvelous everything turns out for you

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to prevent hackers?
